Kdei, SP Sarpong for VGMA Nominees jam.

On Saturday, April 9, residents of Ho in the Volta Region will get the opportunity to jam to live performances from some of their favourite artistes when the Jubilee Park hosts the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) Nominees Jam.

And the artistes billed to shake up the Jubilee Park are Bisa Kdei, SP Sarpong, Patience Nyarko, Wisa, Atom, Jupitar, Kwaw Kese, Edem and EL, who have all been nominated in various categories of the award scheme.

Rapper Kwaw Kese and longtime girlfriend, Doris Kyei Baffour had their traditional wedding today, April 7 in Kumasi.
The white wedding of the couple will also happen in Kumasi this Saturday.

Kwaw’s woman is known as Pokua/Poks off her role in popular Ghanaian Television series, Efiewura. She also owns Poks Inn.

She organized a surprised birthday party for her hubby-to-be late last year.

This will be Kese’s second marriage.

Dancehall Will Die Soon Like Hiplife – Blakk Rasta

Blakk Rasta has asserted that Ghanaian dancehall music has no future. The reggae artiste in an interview with DJ Roar on Kesben FM in Kumasi revealed that most awards he (Blakk Rasta) won internationally were as a result of his good reggae music but not dancehall music.

“What future does dancehall have? If you look at most of the big awards we won outside, we used reggae music not dancehall”

I will never get married – Mzbel.

Marriage is largely considered as a sacred institution which everyone would want to experience but for singer, Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel she does not want to ever get married.

Speaking to Delay on Viasat 1, Mzbel revealed that she wasn’t at all bothered by the prospect of not getting married because she does not want to be enslaved.

DJ Breezy to take over Black Avenue music label.

Multiple award winning Ghanaian producer, DJ Breezy (@djbreezy_gh)  will from August 2016 take over from CEO of Black Avenue Music, Desmond Blackmore aka D-Black the position of music director at the record label.
